I'm dead serious, bud light sucks. I'll drink it but it has a weird taste to me.

$20 says you couldn't do a blind taste test with bud light, michelob, miller and coors and pick them out accurately.

dude there is an OBVIOUS taste difference. You're talking to a guy who drinks nothing but cheap shite all the time.

eta: coors and michelob taste similar, but bid light has a distinct taste to me

I've done the Miller vs. Bud blind taste test with many friends who claim there is an OBVIOUS difference. Their success rate is less than 50%, which is odd because you would think just random arse guessing would be 50%. I guess they tend to overthink it and trick themselves out of the right answer.

Either way, they both suck.

I remember there being a distinct taste difference between Bud and Miller back in the day

I always thought Miller was "skunkier"

but I never did a blind test

He routinely does this in craft beer vs adjunct lager threads. I don't know why people continue to give him the time of day.

Interesting. I don't know which batch I had, but I had it on tap last week and it was a straight up malt bomb with disgusting bitter on the back end. Asked the server to take it back after 2 sips. I'd never had anything quite that bad from tin roof

I've done it one other time and it was the ghost thread when Ham was telling me I wouldn't like it.

It is. It's also less "sweet" than Bud-light. Miller Lite drinkers are not going to like Bud-Light, and visa-versa. Miller lite drinkers are the most loyal as well. That shite tastes so bad, once you're used to it, you really don't like anything else. Bud-light drinkers can move around much more seamlessly.

I'm actually secure enough that I don't need to deviate from the normal.

I don't NOT like craft beer, just cant be outside throwing them back all day, which is what I do when I drink beer. I'm not as concerned about yall as you think. I brewed beer with my dad for years in HS, just could never get into it.

eta: and I rarely drink during the week which would be the right time to try out some different stuff

It was good, but wasn't very cold which kinda threw me off after the first few sips. Not really sure how exactly to describe the taste in beer snob terms, but good is acceptable for me.

...wait, really? I mean, I can see the bud-light and Mich being similar. The others? No way.

You mean, like the overly bitter craft beers that the hipsters say you have to acquire a taste to like?

I had a few Bud Lights the other night and then had a Coors Light. Noticeable difference. And neither had a bile, bitter taste, like many hoppy craft beers.
