Does anyone infuse their own for bloody Mary's. Had a great one at Dookys in the airport wondering if anyone does their own. Tia

You asked a yes or no question and people answered. If you want recipes, ask for them.

Bottle vodka
Pineapple
Pour vodka into container with cut pineapple. Cover and let it sit for 3 weeks.

Yep.

The only one I've tried was the Skittles version. I had several empty Mason jars and bought a 2 lb bag of skittles. Red was good, Purple was good. Yellow and green were nasty, but that was the old Lime and not the Green Apple flavor. Orange was ok. This was back when my wife was all over Pinterest and had seen it posted about 47k times and wanted to try it. I wouldn't recommend it unless you just want a little flavor to the shots.

Buddhist Hand Citron was s great tool for infusion. Super high oil content with almost no pulp. Gave a super intense flavor. Seen it plenty with spicy peppers as well for BMs.

I did this with various candy.

Werther's Original and Red Hots (tasted like Fireball) were pretty good.

Starburst was disgusting.

Also tried to infuse with lemon and that turned out pretty horrible as well.

Someone bought us an "infuser" (basically a caraffe with an sieve like insert that you stuff your adjuncts into then lower into the booze).

We've never used it and probably don't intend to.

I infuse my booze with ice on occasion. That's about it.

For bloody Mary's, Alton Brown infuses black pepper into vodka.

I'm sure you can Google it to find his recipe, if you wanna call it that.

I do a half gallon of pepper infused pepper vodka every year for my bloody mary's.

1. Buy a bottle of Tito's and make a screwdriver so you have enough room to add your peppers.

2. I do mine when fresh cayenne peppers are in season. This year I also added a couple of thai chilis that my go-to lady at the farmer's market had. A handful of crushed peppercorns are a constant.

3. Cut 6-10 peppers into about 1 inch pieces and add them to the vodka. Shake and turn roughly every 12 hours for 1 week. Taste it after day 5 and strain if you think its spicy enough.

4. Strain and return to original bottle. Enjoy

A friend of mine has an old glass I guess a water dispenser. Clear glass with a spicket on the bottom and it is filled with garlic cloves, onions and olives and vodka. Keeps it on the side board and when I walk by I just have a taste. I bet she has had it for ten years and just refreshes vodka and vegetables as needed. Pretty tasty dirty vodka.
