old tyme aint got shite on chris or pops roast beef poboy. their roast beef poboy is disgusting manda sliced roast beef. they should just drop it off the menu.

This is the only thing I ever had at Old Tyme and it was pretty bad. I always hear them getting a lot of love here. Is their shrimp poboy really good or something? The roast beef at Chris's is so much better.

I don't get the love for Old Thyme or Chris'. When I lived in Lafayette, it seemed like no one could dress a poboy right. While the shrimp at old thyme are good, the poboy tastes like just shrimp and bread. Chris' used pre-battered frozen shrimp and only dress with a little mayonnaise and lettuce. They chare .75 for a freaking tomato slice added. WTF?

One thing I have never understood, is the amount of ketchup on the Olde Tyme Grocery Shrimp Poboy? I know its a mixture sauce... But has always (over my decade of eating it) seemed heavy on that condiment. Ive started ordering it dressed w their "sauce" on the side

Maybe they don't want to compare back to back with other restaurants. Kind of strange why they wouldn't participate.
