Friend of mine just posted this on FB:

quote:

Heard a strong rumor that In-N-Out Burger is opening in Metairie where Foodies used to be on Vets across from Dorignacs.

Since you guys have your hands in everything in south Louisiana, anything to add?

How does one gauge the strength of a rumor?

Okay, no I won't.

So their first one East of Dallas is going to be in Metairie? Interesting choice.

Seems very likely, given their first foray outside the extreme left coast (Ca-Az-Nv-Ut), into Frisco-Tx, with plans for the four Texas majors..

I love me some In-N-Out Burger.. used to eat there twice a week when I live in Cali, but I'm just not a proponent of them expanding across the U.S. There was something romantic and almost mythical about it being confined to a small area of the country.

I would be real happy to have that old Foodies location back in commerce.

Have you seen the insanity that happens when a new one opens???

I agree with this.

In-N-Out, Panera, and what's the latest on Costco to NO??

If ever BR landed Costco and SWA-Air to BTR, the quality of life factor scale gets a serious bump, despite the crime and lacking roads situation.

R2R, I agree, but the main question is can they maintain consistency through proliferation? aka don't pull a 'Krispy Kreme'!

With Five Guys, Smashburger, etc..growth. I think In-N-Out felt it was time to finally push forward.

In N Out burger just wont have the same appeal to me if there is one local. The drive thru line is gonna be overflowing on to Vets for the 1st month.

I thought In and Out would only open within a geographical region that they could control the meat being shipped fresh from their distribution plant.
