I normally get a big slab of salmon and cook that, with a side of pasta.
Normally though she's with her sister so me and my brother in law will go eat someplace that they don't particularly care for.

Usually something that stinks up the kitchen that she doesn't like. Wings, chicken thighs, tons of bacon. Or go with the cheap food I used to eat in college. Totino's pizzas. Cook up a couple of those. And massive amounts of bourbon.
Wife took the kids to visit her grandparents early last week, so from Sunday to Tuesday, it was just me. I ate like shite, drank every night, and streamed the TV shows I can't watch until the kids normally go to bed. Literally walked in from work and poured a drink before changing into gym shorts or sweatpants, and went through Walking Dead or Bosch until I got hungry, then cooked something vastly unhealthy, and went back to the couch.

I'm not that lucky, I'll still have the little one. She usually goes to bed around 7 though so the food will get cranked up immediately following that.

If I'm working, I'll pick up sushi on my way home and have a couple of beers with the cat while we catch up on Netflix.
If I'm off, usually something with blue cheese. Wife hates it. Either homemade burgers with BC on top or I'll by some flank steak, roll it around blue cheese and asparagus, and toss them on the grill. Sides vary.

Wife has been out of town for a few days. Day 1 I cooked some Thai beef dish, day 2 I made cheesesteak, today I think I'm gonna walk to the bar and grab some beer and wings. Typically I go for a burger, but I'm going for something different this week.

Yeah I have mine tonight. The wife is gone to some girls thing from our Sunday school class. I've got bacon in the oven and about to fry some eggs in the grease and make a big sammich. But she said neither one took a nap today so they're headed for bed in an hour or so.
