If traveled to New Orleans knowing it was your last trip, where would you dine for 3 final meals? Doesn't matter if lunch or dinner, just want your 3 meals where and what would you order?

For me:

Fried Oyster Loaf and Gumbo at Casamento's
Chef Special at NOLA or Pork Chop or Drum at Kitchen Bar
Commander's Palace, something Seafood with Praline Soufflé

I think Casamento's Gumbo is some of the best I've ever enjoyed. They put slight something tomato that gives it a unique very good flavor.

I agree with you about Casamento's gumbo. It doesn't really get talk about here.

Your 1st question is to hard to answer.

What kink of tomato do you think they are dropping in it? Paste or sauce. Have never seen any tomato chunks.

breakfast-bananas foster french toast from Stanley's
Lunch-the gambino from Butcher
Dinner-either the BBQ Shrimp from Mr. B's, the chargrilled oysters from Drago's, or anything from Commander's or August.

That's a hard one. Nothing fancy for me for the last meals. Typical Nola fare would be on my list of lasts.

I'd go to brunch at Arnaud's for oysters arnaud and shrimp remoulade. If I think I can stand it, I'd probably have the trout amandine and some spinach. Maybe some caramel custard.

For lunch, I'd hit up Casamento's for fried oysters and a fried soft shell crab. Snoball from Hansen's for dessert.

I'd have the Gambino from Butcher for a mid afternoon snack.

Dinner would probably be crawfish bisque, crabmeat au gratin and bread pudding from Bon Ton.

Then, I'd try to figure out a way to have a snack of Mr. B's BBQ shrimp as late as possible and just before midnight, I'd slip in a shake and onion and potato omelet from Camellia Grill.

After that, I'm sure I'd die almost immediately and probably via a bodily implosion.

I'm full just typing all of that.

That was the worst meal I have ever had in New Orleans.

It started at 11:30 and she's still there, so I take that as a good sign.

Roast beef from Mahony's
Large T-Bone from Charlie's
Bread pudding souffle from Commander's followed by a shite ton of beer from Cooter Brown's.

I may be leaving Nola for a while so I need to make this happen.

It's Gris Gris.

And, if these are my last meals before I die, I'm not going to be worried about what I weigh when I'm done! And, I never said I'd be successful in eating it all. I'd probably have to eat a little of everything wherever I go. Even with them being last meals, I doubt I could handle all of that food in one single day! It's what I'd like to be able to do and now, I'd like to include a roast beef poboy with that, dammit. I don't know where I'd fit that in, though!

1. Crabmeat Maison and Oysters Rock at Galatoires.
2. Charcutterie (sp?) at Domenica (Duck liver pate')
or
Various types of oysters on the half at Luke.
3. I would somehow have to fit in the bread pudding souffle' at Commander's.
