In preparation for our first beach trip of the summer I need a good simple margarita recipe. I would also like a good skinny on the rocks recipe if possible. Thanks.

4-3-2-1
4 tablespoons tequila - don't use cheap shite
3 tablespoons orange juice
2 limes juiced
1 teaspoon agave nectar

I make mine equal parts Tequila and Cointreau and then add lime juice to taste.
Going off memory an easy skinny margarita is made with with crystal lite lemonade, diet 7Up, and tequila.

Two shots reposado tequila, one shot of fresh squeezed lime juice, half a shot of agave nectar.

That has to be one hell of a sweet margarita.

I need to try orange juice rather than triple sec. This seems like it would be a pretty sweet drink though
I go with 2 parts reposado tequila, one part triple sec, one part lime juice, and a little agave nectar. Shake the shite out of it and pour it over crushed ice.

Tequila, triple sec, ice. Blend well. Then pour it down the sink and fix yourself a bourbon drink

1/4 cup Triple Sec
1 cup gold tequila
Ice
1/2 can good quality lager-style beer
Lime wheels, for garnish
Directions
To salt the margarita glasses, rub the outside rims of 4 big glasses with a cut lime and press them lightly into a plate of kosher salt, to coat.
Combine the lime juice, sugar, orange liqueur, Triple Sec, tequila, and a big handful of ice in a cocktail shaker (or blender). Shake the margarita really well, for a good 20 seconds, add a splash of beer and strain into the salt rimmed glasses filled with ice. Garnish with a lime wheel.

The juice of two limes really tames the sweetness. I find it to be a good balance between sweet and tart.

I think the Added spice is nice in this mix. You can make this in a gallon. I think with all the ingredients (750ml type) you can make 2 gallons. Garnish with a pepper.
Picacita
1 part Triple sec
1 part Cointreau
2 part Sweet & sour
1 part Sauza Silver
1 part Sauza Gold
2 part simple syrup
1 part Grand Marnier

2 shots of tequila

Shake the hell out of it.

We used to use this recipe at the bar I worked at. I like to shake it well with ice and then strain over ice with a squeeze of lime.
2 parts tequila
1 part triple sec (Grand Marnier for more flavor)
1 part Rose's lime
splash of sweet and sour
