Does not compute.

I've eaten at a few and I'm batting about .500 on the greatness of said eateries.

Sometimes it's just the experience of eating in a unique.

I always order what Guy showcases. Today it's an Itilian sausage sandwich with fries cover in chile verde! Can't wait

I just inhaled it. It was beyond delicious.

Sausage was great, had the right amount of red pepper and fennel. Smothers in peppers, onions, and smoked provolone. One of the best sandwiches I've had.

Fries were awesome. A rare time they can use "fried to perfection" and be right. Chile verde was good as well.

Guy was right on the money with this one. Finishing it off with some NY Cheesecake and then I'll waddle off to my hotel room and die from fatness.

There is one place that has been stuck in my mind for about 4 years now as a place I want to go to from DDD. It's a burger place in Chicago called Kuma's Corner.

I've eat'n at several of the locations and although the food is normally well above average....to me it's the whole seeing it on TV and "TV tasting" it for months/years before my travels take me to that part of the US where the DDD is located.

On another note...there is an app that I downloaded on my iPad that allows you to view all of the DDD's on a map, gives you a review, list of featured entrees, and has the tagged episode video. I always check out the places that I travel to for DDD's.

Be prepaired though....about 75% of these places are cash only and I've only seen 1 or 2 that take Amex.

We were in Santa Rosa, Ca area last week and ate at his restaurant Johnny Garlics, which was pretty good, although I was completely drunk.

Another night we were looking for something quick and went to this place that he had been to. Being from Texas I was a little skeptical, but the tacos were great!

We have had breakfast here several times, food, service and price were excellent. I know several people who live in the area that like it also.

Who pissed in your grits?

LA Pines in Slidell, another DDD subject, not so good, not terrible, but wouldn't rush back.

Yeh, people that enjoy their job, their life, their families, promote the practice of cooking with their children, donate thousands of dollars to charities, and have found a way to turn their passion into a small fortune....fricking douche bag! I hate people that do all of those douchie things!!!

I like him. If you get past the hair, he is a funny dude.

My wife's best friend from college has a son named Patrick, who has cancer. It went into remission and then came back. His head was bald from the chemo and Guy came to visit him in the hospital on the same day that a whole bunch of people were getting their head shaved in support of Patrick. They tried to get him to shave his head, to, but he would have none of that.

Anyway, he spent an hour and a half with Patrick and his family said he is the most spontaneously funny dudes you will ever meet and a class act all the way.

I like the mom and pop places he goes to that do authentic ethnic cuisines. One that sticks out in my mind that I want to try is this Jamaican restaurant in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

I love mom and pop, and dive place better than going to fancy restaurants. Been to a lot of the DDD places, however some of them sucked.

I went to one in Nashville that was pretty underwhelming. However if I had seen the episode beforehand I probably would have known that.

I love how he has to act excited at some of these burger joints when they serve him an onion ring. I think you can tell when watching which ones are pretty legit and which ones are just local nostaligiac favorites.

I can see him going to Frank's in BR one day and asking himself "why do these people like this place?"
