In the Smith and Wollensky building. If true.....EPIC FAIL in my opinion.

Anybody else hear anything?

May work, if they completely overhaul their business plan on how they procure and prepare food.

Acting as a 95% prepackaged SYSCO food purveyor will not cut it, day to day, in that location.

No, it is the Maylie's buiding. How are they going to afford the rent in that location? Setting up for an epic failure.

This.

Crappy food aside, Walk-Ons is a good place to watch a game. There aren't very many sports bars to catch a game around there as it is now.

It would do well on Saints days and special times, but I see it having a hard time especially in the summer.

Very true. I can see them having a hard time outside of football season.

They definitely won't meet their nut relying on revenue from just 8 Saints home games a year.

And as I said, they're not going to attract a regular weekday crowd at that locale, by simply dishing out the premade burgers/frozen seafood/cheesesticks crap they dish out at their BR location.

I call it that because Maylie's was around for like fifty years and S&W like 10.

That area needs a place where the office buildings near by can go have an after work cocktail. I am not sure that this will fit the bill. Time will tell.

Wasn't Maylie's only in the riverside half of the building? The sort of townhouse looking part?

I was also told that Happy's is tagging along with the project. Not sure in what capacity though. Maybe right next door?

It is indeed true. They have talked to a friend of mine about the General Manager position. They are also talking about opening other types of restaurants in that area as well.

There are a lot of ninjas working at City Hall and CDC across the street...just saying.

I agree that it fails though.
