I am consuming a case of beer a week these days with 2 to 5 drinks somewhere in between.

One evening last week I only had one drink of moonshine after I got in from work. The next day I got gas at the foot of the Causeway on my journey back across and picked up a 6er and a bag of pork rinds my ride. I bought a 12 pack on Friday and there are still 4 or 5 in the fridge this evening. It's less and less for me it appears.

Mine varies seasonally.

During deer season I rarely drink. I'll drink during that time at special events like weddings, and then I take it pretty serious. I might drink 30 beers or so in a day during deer season, bur only once or twice during those 4 months.

During Lent I don't have a drop.

Now I'm in my post-lent turkey season pattern, which is a couple (4-6 beers) on Friday and Saturday nights unless a special occasion.

After turkey season is frogging/fishing season. This is where the meat of my alcohol is consumed. In the summer the wife and kids usually go away for a couple weeks to her mother's, so I might drink for 3-5 days at a time if I can slip away from work. This only lasts a couple weeks.

Then is the end of summer, hot as he'll period. I usually drink a couple beers on Sunday evenings watchin the kids play in the sprinkler while I grill.

Pre-deer season routine cuts out almost all alcohol, as I usually try to drop 10-20 lbs to get svelt for climbing trees.

All audibles to this plan involve weddings, crawfish boils, class reunions, concerts, funerals, and other celebratory occasions. I can usually hold my own with he youngsters for a night or so of serious drinking. Like Toby Keith said, "I ain't as good as I once was, but I'm as good ONCE, as I ever was."

Yeah, my drinking was legendary around here, and in a few more places. I had some great times, but the few troubles it caused me were way too costly in many ways. I get my buzz from nature now. If I can quit, anyone can.

I don't drink at all some weeks.

Most drinking sittings for me are just a few beers.

I go crazy every now and then.

I'll be doing it, just not sure when.
Seems like a natural progression for older people like me.

Right with you Roger, all I put down is Diet Mt. Dew these days. At only 26 now, I had to hang it up at 22. From 16 to 22 it was 24 oz. Bud heavy most weeknights, and Evan Williams thrown in on weekends.

Average of about 4 times a month. Never really drink during the week unless something is going on.

Man I was just a young guy trying to get more fricked up than anyone else, along that road I grew a nice taste for Keystone too . Pow Pow would sip on Van Winkle while I slammed the cheap shite.

yeah, it just isn't worth it. Even before it became a serious problem, it's something I relied on to "fun things up" a bit. I've found much more peace and contentment without it.

I miss it on occasion, but even the times I started drinking again I wondered why the hell I was doing it.

I cut back a lot when I realized how much it was and how closely it was related to my productivity the next day.

Was working for myself so just wasting my own $ when I drank too much, so I cut it back to like 2 a night then.

Now a days, a few a week.
