I know it's early and that you can't get them for a few months but some of my friends are coming to town for MG and I wanted to know much I could expect to pay for a king cake from Manny Randazzos.

Whatever they charge, it's worth it.

Between $15 to $35 or so depending on size/filling if I remember right. You can order them online anytime of year, but they're over $50. Not worth it to me, but you may feel differently.

ETA: The not worth it comment was in regards to $50 shipped Randazzos. In store pricing is completely worth it.

I think they are about $30 for a medium size.

I'm confused as to why you need to know something like this 5 months in advance.?

Either way, $16 to $28 or so seems about right. I love their cakes.

If ya'll don't plan well and depending on the day, you could be stuck in a very long line or if you are late, they will be sold out.

Which is just like every bakery I've ever been to for standard cakes, not just King Cakes. There are a few in my hometown, and several that I've bought from in Birmingham as well, and cakes top out around $30-35. Unless you're getting some fancy decorating, in which case it could go up. Well worth it to have great dessert rather than some grocery store sheet cake with canned icing smeared on it.

Because I’d seen them priced online close to $80. And I don’t wanna hype my friends up about a king cake I’m not gonna by them

not worth the $35 to me.

That turtle one from Calandro's is legit though.
