I've had some specs in my freezer for over a year, you think they're still ok to eat? Not only ok to eat but will they still taste good? They are frozen in water.

Why, has this been brought up already? Give me the link and I'll go to it.

some fish freeze better than others, I have not had much luck with specks, I would only give them 5-6 months , but thaw them out and see if they are white/brown or more translucent

I will thaw them and see how they smell too. I was going to broil them or grill them even. Thanks for the heads up.

I've fried redfish that was in a buddies freezer for over two years. After enough beers you can't taste the difference.
