Tried but couldn't make it last time and I'm watching Movable Feast and the owner is cooking.

Awesome. Do it if you can. Comparable to Valette in Healdsburg if you've been there.

Small plate feed me style menu. It's really good.

Its good. They have a lot of talent. Couple of really great small bites and some underwhelming. Id like to try other restaurants in ATX before I go back but I'd go back for sure.

This. I go to Austin quite a bit and always try new places. I found Barley Swine pretty underwhelming. Especially for what you pay.
Favorite places:
Dai Due
Sway
Odd Duck

Was there MLK weekend. Dear lord that place is amazing.

I'll be back in Austin for Easter so I'll make sure to get there. Looks like a great place.

Odd Duck is great. I think it's in the same family as Barley Swine. I went to Barley Swine too- very good with small plate, multiple course very interesting food in a very laid back casual atmosphere.

I really liked Odd Duck better but both places are a must.

Although, I did have a smoked elk tartare at Barley Swine that blew my freaking mind.

Odd duck is the same owner as barley swine but a more casual experience. It is phenomenal.

They just moved into a bigger location towards the North side of town so they can serve way more people now. I've actually never been, I've heard really good things but there are just so many restaurants in this city that it's easy for things to fly under the radar.

Another big thumbs up for Barely Swine. One of my favorite places to eat when in Austin. Next time I'm in town, Olamaie is at the top of my to-do list.

I still haven't been there and am curious to try the new location. I've only heard good things, however it's pricey and small portions.

it appears they must have redone their pricing recently

we went about 3 years ago or so, and we ordered basically the entire menu, and with drinks it was just a little over $100, which I considered a great value considering the level of food
