I know it's so much to ask that they have chicken ready at their establishment and not be told to pull forward when no one else is in line... Is that an unreasonable request?

Eta: it was worth the wait

It's worth the wait though. Fresh Popeyes > any other type of fast food.

What would you prefer - they have chicken sitting out for 40 minutes waiting for to buy it or you wait a few minutes for them to fry up some hot, fresh goodness?

From what I gather, I think they do it on purpose, because some people will just leave and they won't have to work. Popeyes everywhere consistently have the laziest workers.

the popeyes on burbank by Bluebonnet is always stellar. always clean, always friendly....when i get the craving i go there. Ive even called the 1-800 number at the bottom of the receipt to let corporate know they do a good job. i feel that IF you do a good job, you should be recognized for it. maybe they get some sort of bonus for good customer service scores or something. if that happens then maybe it will prompt other stores to do better themselves. stark contrast with the popeyes on staring lane, just a mile away. its always filled with riff raff, shite on the floor, ignorant and rude employees and NEVER have fresh chicken. I walked in the other day (against my better judgement) and heard two employees yelling at each other about something. I thought the place was getting robbed for a second cause of all the yelling. They had NO fresh chicken and said a "ten piece, dark, spicy" box doesn't exist but I'd have to pay for a mixed box instead and fill it with just dark meat. I said "No, thanks" and walked out, drove to the burbank branch and got the exact order I requested at the Staring one, which they said didnt exist. seems like a trivial thing but I'm not paying an additional $8 for the same thing they sell just a mile away.

this has been my experience too but I do the exact opposite back to THEM. I am as nice as possible and even try to engage them in small talk to let them see that I'm NOT the white devil that fills their storybooks.

Wow, thats suprising to me cause it was not like that when I was around (04-09). Must be new management.

The one on staring was always crap though. Thats for sure.
