Girlfriend's birthday is at the end of the month, and I was going to take her out to a nice dinner. I have reservations at Mark's, neither she or I have been there. Are there any other restaurants you would recommend? She took me to Brenner's on the Bayou for mine back in October. She has been to a number of nice places but never to Mark's...how good is it? Looks pretty cool.

If you want the best food, you should go to Tony's. Don't get me wrong, Mark's food is very good, but to me, Mark's atmosphere and ambiance is more impressive than its food. The food at Tony's is excellent, the service is great, and the decor is neat too. You can't go wrong with either, you probably won't leave Tony's feeling disappointed.

Tony's is one I was thinking of as well....not sure if she's been there or not. Food looks amazing....would love to try the Osu Bucco.

I'm not from Houston but I eat at Tonys at least 4x a year while i'm there on business. It is about as good as it gets in houston.

Mark's is bad arse. I haven't been to Tony's but have heard good things.

Mark's is legit and would even be considered a good restaurant in NO. You won't be disappointed.

Maybe if you're in the burbs, but in the loop there are very few chains.
