Yes. Parking lot is full quite often.

As far as Mexican, Don Jose is not to be slept on.

They may have already closed down, I know that entire building is currently for lease. They didn’t have enough customers to actually take a hit on though

Went Friday for lunch. Agree it's going to kill it there.

Place is expensive though. Good happy hour though

Yeah I’ve never been a huge fan of superior price wise

Place is much bigger than I thought it would be when I walked in, after seeing the parking lot I figured there was going to be a wait.

That patio should kill it on Friday’s. I wonder if it’ll cannibalize some of its own business there though.

I noticed the hair salon had cones blocking people from their lot, which like with the bank next to Rum House, I think is a dick move to do when you're not even open. I get it during lunch, but not when you're closed for the night.

That being said, there are businesses all the next few doors down that don't get busy pretty much ever, and also across the street, that I imagine won't be such dicks about it. TBH - I'd rather Superior patrons parking next door/two buildings down when the immediate parking is full rather than park over by Robert. People trying to go to Robert have no neighboring businesses to overflow into.

The businesses next door will increase their liability exposure if they allow parking on their lot.

If Superior patrons park in their lot they should be compensated for this. I imaging the owner of said property approached Superior about compensation for parking and was probably laughed at. I don’t blame them for putting the cones up. Superior should furnish their own parking.

I don't disagree. I just selfishly don't want to be unable to grocery shop.

I wonder how the big lot for Superior/Max/Robert/Quantum works - like is it fair game for all of them in there? I'm unfamiliar with all of that.

I know that with Rum House, it looks like only Martin has their "own" spots and then there's that $3 lot. And the everything else is fair game. The RH owner said there was a whole lot of drama getting to that point though. Wonder if it will end up being a shite show for this Highland center too.

This becomes a catch 22. If someone who is not your customer wants to park in your lot you can either (a) Piss them off, (b) Try to make them your customer.

I think plan B in the long run is better for your business, slip a coupon or ad under every windshield wiper of the cars parked in the lot and see what happens.

With Rum House, the bank owned the land that became the dirt parking lot that everyone was actually using. Once they sold the lot to the owners of that little strip mall (who drastically overpaid for it and will never get that money back - see the empty $3/day parking lot they put there) they stopped caring.

All the other businesses that share the building with Olive or Twist have signs for their "own" spots, but only the painting one is open late. I've never had a problem parking in the Martin's or the beauty supply (I think?) place on the end after they are closed.

Growing pains. It happens. I'm sure they'll get us corrected. The important question is - how are the margaritas?

Will be in town for a few days next week and want to check it out.
