After six months of delays it is finally opening today. Someone please check it out and let me know if it's good BBQ.

Hoping they've got some good BBQ chicken if nothing else.

For the longest time driving by I thought it was called HavannahQ smoke shop and was going to be a cigar bar

Yea people need to be more specific when they say, "by the Mexican place in the strip mall."

Hell only El Paso in Gonzales is not in a strip mall since they took over Shoney's.

Wow. Saw people there last night and considered eating there.... Kido wanted Agave. Supposedly same folks as Jasmine's?

Was slammed. Must have been friends/family soft opening/test run.

I hope the food is better than the business name.

Honestly, if it weren't for this board, I initially believed it was a cigar shop.

The logo doesn't help either.

Decisions, decisions ...

I'll certainly give them a try. I truly wish for their success as we need better options than Sonny's, Podnuh's and VoodDoo BBQ.

Looks ambitious. Smoked chicken and fried chicken. Hope it goes well.

I just ordered a BBQ Beef sandwich at Jay's BBQ on Government Street. Good stuff.

Just heard someone tried the fried chicken last night and loved it. Family and friends event only I guess.

I'd suggest trying Pimanyoles...

Had a 2 meat platter (Brisket and Pulled Pork) with Gouda MacNCheese and Beans as sides. Also got a cup of brisket chili. Gup of water to drink. Price was $21 for all of that.

Chili was awesome. Best thing on my tray. Meat portions were small, esp for the price. Brisket and pork had good bark, but both were a bit dry with not much flavor in the meat. Def had to use the BBQ sauces. Sides were good but not the best Ive ever had for either option.

Not a Big Jakes or Pimanyolis, which I was hoping for since this is close to the office and house. Hopefully they can improve on price vs portion as well as quality of the Q itself.
