My little boy loves grouper.....or at least what restaurants call grouper.

I'm taking him on a little mission from Lockport to Bay St. Louis today- any places on the way that you guys know of that have grouper on the lunch menu?

Not in BSL. Fresh trout at Trapanis is about the best you'll do over here.

Poboys at Lil Joes if you want shrimp or oysters.

I have had very good grouper at Half Shell in Gulfport. I know that's a little past Bay St. Louis. I love grouper too. Not featured enough in restaurants around my parts but I can always buy it fresh at Mandeville Seafood Market for 9.99lb.

They don't really do stuff like this in the NOLA area. It would typically be a special request at a restaurant that has grouper on the menu. It's on pretty much every single casual seafood menu in Florida but very rare over here.

I believe Blue Line sandwich Co is doing a Lenten special grouper sandwich. It's in Old Metairie.

Grilled grouper sandwich - all time favorite sandwich.

Close runner-up is grilled yellow-fin at Southside Cafe in Slidell. May want to check with them.
