I currently have a BGE. I love it. Its great for everything except ribs.

For ribs, whether baby back or St Louis, I am forced to either cut them or bend them around to make them fit on the BGE. This severely limits the amount I can cook at any given time. So, I rarely cook ribs because of this.

I'd love to find a smoker that has rib racks that is more conducive to cooking multiple slabs of ribs or perhaps a product that allows for more effective utilization of the space on my BGE. It doesn't matter to me if its gas, electric, or charcoal.

get a ribrack dude. any round smoker except a 22" WSM is gonna need a rack to do multiple slabs. even the 22" WSM would need a rack if your trying to do 4+ racks

the only thing your going to be able to lay multiple racks flat in is a big offset, etc

I have that exact same rack. Baby backs have to be bent to allow for the lid to shut. I can only get two or three racks in there without cutting them to fit. Also, to glaze them, I lay them flat on the grill and coat them in sauce. Trying that with multiple slabs means you have to do it in batches.

I have a rack with 6 slots. I typically cut 3 racks in half and it fits just fine in my Large BGE.

This is one reason I like the Primos XL oval design.

Is there a reason you don't like to roll them like an American?

I see now that the issue is saucing them. For the record, I've never had difficulty saucing them with this method, but I could see why you might prefer a different configuration. On a Primo, the oval design allows for much more flexibility. Perhaps you would be happy with that.
