Cutting my drive in half. Anything worth a flip up here to eat? Keep it casual. I saw something about grub burger....what's that all about? TIA

Grub is ok. Decent burger.
Most of the better local places will be closed on a Sunday night so I'm really not sure what to recommend. ..

Grub burger is legit. Assuming you're stopping tonight?

If you want a burger, go to Grub or Twisted Root.
Grub has the better burger but TW has the better beer and atmosphere.

I don't understand the hate on Shreveport. I've lived throughout the South and I think Shreveport is like any other town in the South. Plenty of non chain restaurants to choose from.

Ki Mexico is a good suggestion.
I'd also recommend Frank's Napoletano. Great pizza cooked in wood burning oven and other fresh dishes.

New places that have had soft openings in the past couple of weeks include parish taceaux on Texas St. And Tejas on line(in the old real pickle)
