I don't want to go with a gift card to a restaurant as money isn't an issue for them. Are there any restaurants or "experiences" between Biloxi and New Orleans that are doing any events that you know of?
I looked into the dinner jazz riverboat cruises in NOLA but it appears you have to book a specific date and obviously I have no clue what dates they are available.
any input is appreciated, thank you

Do not book a riverboat cruise for anyone who appreciates food and wine. The food is borderline awful on those things; view can be lovely, but it's definitely a sub-par dining experience.
Suggestion: send 'em some live lobsters from Maine, or a sack of oysters (if they'd appreciate such a thing). Or how about a set of oyster plates & vintage sterling silver cocktail forks?

If you're going to do the live lobsters, a number of folks on the board order from a lobster guy with great success. I believe this is his website.

I've ordered some very nice halibut from a place called Vital Choice, several times.
Lots of folks enjoy GW Fins in New Orleans as far as seafood restaurants and, of course, there's always Peche.

Not sure how much you want to spend, but a basket with some Louisiana Caviar Co. Cajun Caviar and a bottle of champagne would be nice and not something people generally purchase for themselves.
ETA - Also Hogs for the Cause tickets never disappoints.
