That's why I've refused to try and chase down beer, even for stuff as awesome as Ghost. Not worth the hassle.
Sometimes I wonder if the distributors keep the store owners in the dark on purpose, but I also know owners/beer managers at store will keep the "rare" stuff hidden until their favorite customers get their dibs.
Which...I get that. If a customer is in your store regularly helping you move loads of products, then it probably is good business practice to give him/her special treatment. However, just don't give other people the "I don't know" runaround. Be honest. Tell them you need to take care of your most loyal customers first.

Well from the standpoint that you won't get the beer, sure it's not.
But I will always respect someone more for being honest than himming and hawing like a squirrelly politician.

How much are places charging for Ghost this time around? I am fairly sure that you can buy it at Pariah for $12/4pack. I think I remember the last wide release being anywhere from $13-$15 around BR.

Mine was under $200 total, don't remember the exact amount. Price is really not a concern.

Damn, even at GR day cases were $72 (maybe $75). Three cases would put you under $67/case. That is a hookup you got there

I have a suspicion the place that does this for me has no clue what they are selling. They just have a guy that makes the order then knows it is sold.
Maybe their markup isn't as high, never asked.
