My thread from back in April. You probably already know there are more options in Destin which is just a short drive away. In Ft Walton we only ate at Burrtio Del Sol (nothing great) and a Filipino restaurant which we really enjoyed but I'm Filipino.
A couple places in Destin we really enjoyed are Boshamps and McGuires.

We're here now. New place in the boardwalk called Rockin Tacos, was surprisingly very good - good marg, good service, good portions, good prices. High Tide is good for raw oysters, but right now they are serving LA oysters...had them last night, not very good. My fried oysters were great, waitress was a bitch. Mama Clemenza's is also very very good. Had brunch there today and it was great. My parents rave about dinner there - its further inland, FYI. Old Bay is good but always packed. McGuires serves an excellent steak, was surprised by it last year. May hit it up this week.

Thanks everybody....might stop at the boardwalk before check in tomorrow..rockin tacos might be a good lunch.

My boy wants a boogie board too.

Anybody ever play the $3 goofy golf in town? That's some throw back prices for an old place

Mcguires, high tide and old bay may be good dinners this week. Need reservations for mcguires? Imagine they get packed.

It does get packed. We went late after 9 though and there wasn't a wait.

Not sure if they take reservations, I can't remember. But the restaurant itself is massive, if you show up on the later side there may not be a wait. Pretty sure I got the ribeye last year and thought it was great. I typically never order steak at restaurants either.

goofy golf

Consider a short drive one night to Destin and play the course there at the Big Kahuna. Fun and cooler at night.
