I've seen the machines before at Costco and on Amazon. They run anywhere from $80 to over $200. What do you guys recommend? Does automatic really make a difference over manual?

I upgraded to this model this year and love it. Got it at Sam's. May have been cheaper by a little. Can't recall highly recommend it. I'd had my old for many years.

This is the one I have and what I really like about it is that it can fold up so that I can always keep it on my counter without it being in the way. Plus, everyone has a 20% Bed Bath & Beyond coupon, right?

I did buy the 5 pack of bags because a price checker website said that's the cheapest price in a long time. Looks like that pack normally runs about $36.

I'll figure out the actual machine later. Costco has a rebate on the 4980 that looks a lot like Gris Gris'. I'll check it out and see how big it really is.

Gris Gris, do you use the handheld extension sealer function?

Costco has a similar combo pack. I just got a FoodSaver and haven't used it yet so not sure how useful the quart bags are.

$32 for:
4 -11” x16’ Heat Seal Rolls
