I thought this place was the coolest when I visited during the Super Bowl. Definitely going back this weekend.

The offshoreangler Houston Restraurant thread auto response bot must be hung up. Can someone reboot it?

I knew I couldn't be alone in that response.

Just thought I'd give folks some options.

And also I don't want a 45 minute wait at El Tiempo Saturday night after the game.

I highly recommend Kim Son. Walking distance. Ninfa's and El Tiempo both legit for the fajitas.

Moontower for super chill casual and good beer.
There is a Peruvian place called Andes that has exceptional ceviche but dont care for much else. Irma's for some decent Southwest food.

Prohibition is awesome. It is one of Houston's oldest theaters that sat vacant for decades. Partitions were built to close of much of it so it collected dust for years.

Owners knocked down all that and restored the theater. It's kick arse inside.

Food is pretty good and the show is very entertaining. Would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to experience something different and unique.

There are shows? I saw a tiny stage that they had a DJ booth set up on.

Maybe I'm thinking of the wrong place...I went to a place that looked like a bar/restaurant and they had a market in the back (different name though).

That's the conservatory it sounds like. It's right next to prohibition

I just looked up the conservatory. That's not the place I'm thinking of.

I'll have to text my friend and see where it was. Thought I wrote it down, but I guess not.

You went to MKT bar inside Phoneicia, which I recommended on the first page.

Is this the huge place that's walking distance from St Joseph's hospital?

If so, good rec.

I'd head to Goode Company for a campechana

Or....

Redfish or octopus tacos at Ninfas
Spicy shrimp queso flameado at El Tiempo
Redfish and fried macaroni at Reef if you want something a little more refined
