If you're looking for beer, head to flying saucer or 8th wonder. A short uber ride can open up a lot more options though.

In about a 3 block radius in north downtown...Prohibition, Captain Foxhearts, Public Services, Little Dipper, Hearsay, Okra, Nightingale, Flying Saucer, Moving Sidewalk, Pastry War, Conservatory, La Carafe, etc
These are all different styles and setups (i.e. - beer bar, cocktails, margarita/tequila, dark, classic bar, trendy, speakeasy, etc.). I'd suggest just bar hopping in north downtown until you find something you like.
If you want just a bar with coors/bud/Miller light, go to Lucky's Pub or Christians.
