I will be in Vegas by myself for a business meeting for about 1.5 days.

Any great restaurants I should try (that I won't look too odd by myself)?

yardbird at the venetian canal shops. Good food, but much better bourbon/drink selection

If you like Thai food, then Lotus of Siam is a must for dinner.

Kabuto for Japanese if you can get in. It's a taxi ride from the Strip. They take reservations for one at the sushi bar.

Vegas is big so too hard to narrow down. if I were you id tear up and upscale buffet by myself

I did the one at cesears last year and it was glorious. voted number buffet in the country by USA Today. its the alpha buffet of buffets. $50 but its 500 items with cook to order stuff like street tacos, bbq carving station, sushi, and a boiling station with shrimp, crab legs, oysters, etc.

shite was awesome.

other than that I recommend public house in venetian. great place for great food and beer

Eat something before you get there because it's going to be an hour+ wait.

For old-school Vegas prices check out Ellis Island Casino. Seriously legit steak special, BBQ chicken/ribs special, and breakfast specials.

My favorite meal in Vegas was Bouchon in the Venetian. It's Thomas Keller's Restaurant. Everything I ate was amazing.

Bouchon is excellent....get the Skate. Mesa Grill as well...get the pork loin and stuffed poblano on the side. Otto is good also...braised pork shoulder is excellent.

Oh man there are so many. My favorite two are:

Strip Burger - Great burgers, fries, shakes, drinks

Grotto in Golden Nugget - Spectacular Italian food while you watch a giant shark tank

Burger Bar at Mandalay Bay is good for a meal that won't break the bank. Scenery is a plus.

Prime at Bellagio will break the bank, but I really enjoyed my meal (it's a steakhouse).
