when we first got married (1996) my wife worked there as a sous chef. I've always loved the atmosphere there. That's definitely a great date place.

Damascus, The food is, especially on weekends, is great. Not fast, but food is usually spot on. Don't know if it would be classified as high end, and the atmosphere is kind of weird, but the food is consistantly good.

i dig garlic. i probably wouldnt get something as potent at pamplonas if i was going to be in close proximity of a date that i was still getting to know. just me, though.

Very true. The oil concoction that they served with the bread contained very strong raw garlic pieces the last time I was there.
