FBD was Rahr Bucking Bock, to inspire me to get my brew going
SBD was NOLA blonde while cleaning and setting up
TBD is Alaskan Amber, now that hops have been added and nothing to do but wait

It's an aggressive ale. You probably wouldn't like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to be able to appreciate an ale of its quality and depth. I would suggest that you stick to safer and more familiar territory --- maybe something with a multi-million dollar ad campaign aimed at convincing you it's made in a little brewery, or one that implies their tasteless fizzy yellow beer will give you more sex appeal. Perhaps you think multi-million dollar ad campaigns make a beer taste better. Perhaps, you're mouthing your words as you read this.

The description above is from the label on the OAB bottle. I thought it would helpful of me to reproduce it. In all seriousness though, it is a very good beer according to so-called "experts". Very strong. Do you like beers with bitter hop flavors? Have you tried any of Stone's other brews?

I you just want to try one, Albertson's has been including them in their make-your-own-six-pack selections. Which at $8.99, actually allows you to effectively build your own OAB six-pack for a few dollars cheaper than the regular price.

yes I've had most of Stones offerings just not this one. My usual store only had it in the large 22oz bottles and it was $16. I'm not a hop head as I like more of the belgiums and stouts. I tried a Unibroue Grand Reserve 17 and it was overpowering with the oak flavor. It was a 2011 brewed ale so maybe it would have mellowed with age.

4BD was another Hitachino Nest White Ale. At the Box now.

Where have you been buying this?

Marcello's said it wasn't in demand enough and stopped selling it.

Marcello's on Highland has it by the bottle.

5BD back home is Mikkeller Hop Burn Lo.

6BD is a Unibroue 17 Grande Reserve. Very nice. Fruity and not too much oak for tastes.
