Happy running. My Dad has done quite a bit of trail runs around Chattanooga. He always comes back saying he won't ever do them again, yet he signs up for another one a few months later.

I may be saying the same thing after this weekend. But I'm looking forward to rehydrating at some of the local brew pubs.

FBD Dales Pale Ale. Jumped in the pool to be welcome by a water temp of 88 degrees. Not as refreshing as I hoped.

I'm thinking I want to start doing these. I need something to make me not so damn competitive with my running. I get too discouraged that I'm no longer what I was 10 years ago, and end up injured trying to rush and push myself back into racing shape.

Trail running with others sure sounds like a nice change up in my now "retirement", and beer makes it sound even better.

It's a totally different mindset from road running. Way more laid back.

Trail running is where it is at. However, the muddy humid trails of Louisiana are probably not as enjoyable to run as the trails over here in Texas

I see B going to run 60 miles this weekend and you with your 38 miles, what distances do y'all usually run? (Obviously realizing they vary, what is typical)

Kind of like how the beer selection in Louisiana is not as enjoyable as that in Texas? At least we still get better food.
