But I really enjoyed that place.

I first went there back in 2000 and I love it. There are people that worked there in 2000 that are still working there. It will be nice to see them. I am also interested in seeing if I will still think their beers are really good. I did not have my Maven Card in 2009.

Shock Top at Barrett's Barleycorn rocked your world back in '09 huh?

I've been to Omaha a bunch for work this year.

Try-

Krug Park (Benson area)
Crescent Moon
Nebraska Brewing Co
The Blatt- across from ballpark (hung out there all last year during CWS)

Best Beer store next door to Crescent Moon- Beertopia

I was into craft beer back in 09, but just not to the extent I am now. I was probably drinking Boulevard stuff at Barrett's, but I did not hang out there. I set up camp at Upstream and I remember their beer being good. The Blood Orange Belgian Wit in particular. The manager had them bring that one back for us this year.

Thanks. I will venture out this year and try to find new stuff.

No BD's today... although I did book a trip to SF, so I should be partaking in some RR myself in a month's time.

I'm not a big wit beer fan, but that sounds delicious.

Sidenote: I was at Barrett's in '09 and saw someone get "iced"(having to pound a Smirnoff Ice on one knee). That's when I figured I would try some other places. It's cool that they show so much love for LSU, but these days it's a little too much for my blood.

I remember it being a great session beer. There is no telling how many I drank.

I am the same. I got tired of the Barrett's scene a few trips ago. I may go there for lunch one day, but I much prefer the scene at Upstream, which is stumbling distance from my hotel.

...you made it count! No more for me tonight either. Lots of work to get done before I hit the road Thursday. It will be worth it though.

Still got some of Kuhnhenn DRIPA if you wanted to try it. Carbonation is fleeting since it was a growler, but the flavor is still pretty good.

What's your tuesday or wednesday afternoon looking like?

It was one of the more boring races...

What was it a major Ferrari crowd or something chanting durning the interviews?

sometimes the interviews can be one of the more entertaining aspects of the race.
