First drink down was a Pinot noir Rose'. Delicious.
Next was a 76 Rioja. One of the smoothest wines I've ever tried. Never had a Spanish wine taste like that.
Next was a 71 Barbaresco. Had a little oxidation that wasn't too noticeable. Some sweet flavor like a port. Very interesting.
Drink some wine occasionally fellas!!!
This was all brought from home to Herbsaint. After an offer to the head chef, we were given 2 courses off menu to pair with the wine. Both courses the chef created off the cuff. One was a soup with an aged pancetta. It was out of this world.
This meal only reinforced where Herbsaint belongs in the pecking order of top restaurants in town !!
