Some co-workers checked out Seafood Revolution on Saturday, said it was really good but needed to work out some kinks. Cool that Jackson got yet another solid restaurant.

we are guilty of trying restaurants as soon as they open. we tried to get reservations this past fri night and tomorrow night but were unsuccessful both times--probably a good thing. dat death by gumbo tho!

Good day hanging out with the Nola fbd czar. When you're with him the pappy is a palate cleanser. New enjoy by is spectacular, barrel aged hipster is lacking, barrel aged fire ant was dissapointing.

Last BD is a little pour of my praline porter.

I think it could stand a little more pecan flavor to go with the vanilla

I like trying places right when they open too. Gives you some perspective for when you go and try it again 6 months later. And yes that death by gumbo is nutso

NBD is a break side passion fruit sour ale. Another from Denver.

Shared with kp816. Drinking from the cellar tonight. Making room for the parish brews. Not bad. Nice tartness. Not overly sour which is okay on this. It's okay. Better as it warmed.

I recall Boo did something similar a year or so ago. At least by my drunk estimation. Remember it being quite good. Definitely need that nutty / earthy aspect, less the sweetness drown out any nuance.

Passed by Courtyard Brewing on the way to Avenue and saw the door open and Scott inside. I popped in and asked if they were open even though I know they weren't, and he gave us beer. She had a Framboise while I had a Titty Porter.

Then we got put on their instagram.

Ah, didn't know that.

ETA: Didn't really pay attention to the name of the restaurant mentioned earlier, just caught the name of the dish.

Definitely get the beer battered crab beignets when you go. That might have been my favorite thing I tried at RR.
