Anchor Steam also makes a really good NA brew for people on the wagon, or is it off the wagon?

Another classic that gets around is Anchor Steam. I remember when I was a young impressionable lad in 9th grade we stole a 6 pack of it my friend's dad. Our young Milwaukee's best palate wasn't ready for it and we thought it was the worst beer ever.

I still get down on some Anchor Steam. Their brown is pretty decent too in a pinch.

So it may or may not live up to the hype that may or may not exist?

Yes, is my answer.

Klompus I got the white oak Jai Alai from a buddy who lives in Tampa. he also sent me an IPA from Dunedin I'm gonna try tomorrow. Tampa's craft beer scene is blowing up. Not just CCB anymore and CCB is still top tier. Get down there asap. Florida is your natural habitat.

Chuck Royster, civil war guru to the stars at LSU, had one everyday with his fried oyster platter when I was in college. He polished that off with two scoops of vanilla ice cream and cigar at the bar before going back to lecture.

Good times.

No. But Royster has been there since the end of the civil war.

I love some anchor steam and their porter is my all time favorite porter. Hell Liberty ale is a solid beer.
