They make the best bloody in the city though. Pro-tip, order a double extra spicy.

Exactly. Half the MLB stadiums only sell BMC & he's getting 96% beer advocate drafts at a Double-A stadium.

Next thing you know he will be posting his season tickets to the Willamette Walez, where they only serve weasel poo barrel aged stouts, uber rare sours, and trappist beers hand poured by monks on vacation.

Brews Brothers in Galveston is pretty cool

I 2nd this.

And they do $3 all St. Arnold on Tuesdays. Not too shabby of a price.. Endeavor, the Icons, etc.

ETA: Nevermind. I'm thinking Beerfoot.

Brews Brothers is legit too. They have a mock living room where you smoke cigars and play Super Nintendo! Nice little hipster atmosphere and good music. I enjoy the place.

You're incorrect there. It's a single A stadium...

I feel like you're never in the same restaurant/bar and every single one has 139' taps with beers I've never heard of.

Craft beer is big here, as you know. There are actually only about 10 places I have a beer at regularly, as I don't usually have beers at the breweries unless there is a special release/event, because I can get all the brewery beers at a taproom, which has more taps and different choices. Out of those ten places, there is very little overlap. In other words, one place may have 30 taps, another may have 50 taps, but they are almost completely different taps - there is only 1 or 2 beers that are on tap at both places. That, in itself is probably the coolest thing about drinking in Portland.

There are many more places that I could go to, obviously, but some are too far away, some I don't know about, and some just don't have the beer turnover that enables them to keep fresh beer on hand. I hate it when I go into a place and they have good beer ,but it's 3 months old (I know, maven problems). I also prefer to drink at places that have on-line tap lists, so I can go to the places that have a beer that I want to try.

Bunch of rich Vandy girls. Beer, brains, and money. That's a winning combo. Though they're not as fine as that outfit out in San Diego that was posted here.

The Benedictine Monks are going to be opening up a brewery in Mt. Angel, OR (near Salem) at Mt. Angel Abbey. They will brew beer in the Belgian Tradition, but "tailored to Oregon" - which means that it will be "hoppier than Chimay". Cases of the beer will be $84. They plan to go with the Westvleteren model of selling beer only at the abbey, so it had better be good beer.

There are not going to be in production for another 8-9 months, and it will be called "Benedictine Brewery". There are very few Monastic breweries in the world. Nice to see another one open up in the US.

The brewery will be in a building called "The Fort" at Mt Angel Abbey:

I'm kinda fired up about this. Just a heads up, as I'm sure some of this will be coming down south.

FBD. Now in 6-packs. They told me at Elio's that green caps are brewed in Arnaudville. Gold caps are brewed at Lazy Mag.
