I didn't! Brevard, NC or bust. I used to buy OB in NC when they only had the CO brewery. Now that I've tasted it with the sweet water profile of the NC mountains, I can't go back.

No beer tonight. Headed to Austin tomorrow, unfortunately looks like shitty weather all weekend. Any suggestions on a good bottle shop? Staying downtown, planning on hitting JK Saturday.

JK has a new release this weekend, it sounded interesting
Love that place. Don't sweat the weather, there is plenty of seating under the big barn.
There is a nice Specs on 290 headed out of Austin.

Enjoy your trip.

Yo Borr!

Check out Whip In. Hit it 2 weeks ago. Great bottle shop and they have 40 or so taps. Really cool place to chill on the patio for one or two.

If you get a chance to ride up to Austin Beerworks I recommend it also. Very mediocre beer in cans on shelves, but top notch beers at the brewery. Sputnik on coffee and heavy machinery DIPA were both to write home about.

Damn baw y'all got hosed !

re: Cabernet Laika.. I have one in the fridge I bought in December that I'm going to let age a bit. Hard every time I open up and see it not to crack it open. Top 10 all time beer for me personally. The bourbon one is damn fine specimen as well, but not as complex or layered.

No beers tonight. Holding off for Athens this weekend. Having a glass of wine to wind down though. glassman special: J Lohr cab.

I will second Whip In. My favorite place in austin. Gotta go in the evening though for best experience. Really good Indian food and they brew their own Indian influenced beer. ..its owned by an Indian family and used to be a generic convenience store. I have watched it morph over 7 or 8 years from a few taps but still a typical convenience store into what it is now. They usually have a good singer/songwriter musician at night.

Good Bottle shop is Whichcraft

LINK

Other good bars are Easy Tiger...good food too
Craft Pride...good food
Draught House....older crowd but great selection.

NBD is in the corner.

Could have, should have, rested it better. Wish I would have seen a cut with more marbling. But for a Thursday night with my attention in 12 places, reversing the sear did okay.

LSU or East? I saw East has it, but LSU didn't last night when I was there.

You done seent my grill -- whatchu think?

But I'm also using my cheap college "silver." It's not exactly perfect or pretty, but it does the job. And given my bachelor status, I see no real reason to upgrade. I'm not trying to impress anyone.
