I'm gonna see if they are open yet. I doesn't look like it. My little boy would love that place.

Le Cellier is good but overhyped and overrated. It's real draw is the lore because of how difficult it is to get reservations. If we're talking just steaks then both Narcoossee's and the Yachtsman are better quality steaks. I like Ohana's as well for both the breakfast buffet and evening luau.

If you're wanting a good food and show then the Hoop Dee Doo revue is pretty awesome. For strictly breakfast the Tusker House is a hidden gem at Animal Kingdom. One last restaurant that many people also overlook is the Whispering Canyon.

Since I was at their website already, I sent off an email to them asking if/when Splitsville is/would be open.

This is part of the prompt reply:

"Thank you for your interest in our new Downtown Disney location. We are still under construction and are still opening late fall of this year, but unfortunately do not have a set date yet. However, sadly we won't be open by the end of this month (October)."

Wife and I had a wonderful dinner at Les Chefs De France in Epcot back in April. Be sure to get dessert.

Meal plan makes you get desert. And to be honest, I hate that. Our fridge at Old Key West was literally packed with boxed deserts we couldn't eat because they stuff you with the entree sizes.

I agree with you there Jordan. I wish Disney would allow you get beer or wine instead of dessert and apps. They kill you with the amount of food you get. I just mention it here, because I thought the desserts there were exceptional.

Yep. And what's funny is Disney changed all of their Fast-Service menu's and ditched the McDonald's sponsorship to be "healthier" yet they are force feeding massive deserts down every kid's throat with the meal plan

The deserts are realllly good though.

My parents go to Disney often and ended up getting the Tables In Wonderland card. Forget exactly how it works, but I think it's an annual pass and it gets you discounts on food and drinks in Disney restaurants. You can use it along with the dining plan and that way your entree and deserts are taken care of (meal plan) and you get a discount on your appetizers and alcoholic beverages (Tables In Wonderland). It definitely comes in handy when you're spending $13.00 a pop on margaritas in Mexico (Though the jalepeno-lime margarita is worth the money).

I'm somewhat sure that all Disney restaurants are walk up but some (like Le Cellier or Cinderella Castle) are impossible without reservations (special dining shows require a ticket). Ohana's breakfast is similar to Chef Mickey's and very difficult without a reservation. The Spirit of Aloha (the luau) requires a reservation (actually it requires a pre-purchased ticket).

If you're wanting the breakfast without a reservation you're going to have to show up before they open and just wait. Your absolute best bet is to just keep checking the reservation website for cancellations.

We have a reservation for 9 at Ohana but check back daily trying to get an earlier one. The way these places fill up on a random October weekend amazes me. If we can't get an earlier reservation we are gonna end up canceling it. That's way too late to try and eat with a 5 and 6 year old after a day at MK

I'll give you a helpful tip since you already have reservations at 9. Ohana's opens at 7:30 am. If you show up a few minutes before they open and let them know you already have reservations but really need to be seated earlier due to other pending plans (make up something believable) they will seat you early. I am 99% sure of it. Don't tell them you have early lunch reservations because they can see it on the computer.

Go look right now and book a 10:30 (or earlier if it's possible) lunch somewhere but REMEMBER to cancel them right after you're seated at Ohana. Unless the rules have changed you won't be penalized.

I will run this by the wife. She is in charge of all planning and reservations. This will be on our last night there so we won't have any more meals. I actually think we went over our table service meals and will be paying out if pocket at Ohana.

Thanks.

You can still book even though you are out of points. Remember you'll be cancelling. It's just so they can see you have them and aren't making it up.
