Hello headed to Fairhope with my wife for a few days. Looking to take her to dinner all I know there is the Wash house. I know there are several other options do any of you all have a favorite? Looking for something for a nice dinner. TIA

Wash House was pretty damn good last time I was there.

I really enjoyed Hope Farm. Food is not as traditional as wash house but I enjoyed the atmosphere and cocktails.

Sage is fantastic for lunch. If you like Lebanese/Greek cuisine, I highly recommend it.

Thyme on Section is a nice spot that we hit if we're downtown as well.

Definitely go to Hope Farm. Food is very good and setting/atmosphere is great.

I like Dragonfly for lunch. Inventive menu, good beer and affordable.

get the chateaubriand. I got it last year while there based off this board's recommendations, and it was absolutely incredible.

Dragonfly is a must eat lunch spot. It's an Asian fusion place.

Good suggestions above. I’ll throw out Jessie’s in Magnolia Springs or Southwood in Daphne.

Also with the nice weather we’re having, Sunset Point would be a good option also.

Southwood Kitchen in Daphne, about 8 minutes north of downtown Fairhope. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu for lunch or dinner. Dinner reservations get tight.

For casual but excellent breakfast/brunch we love Warehouse Bakery and Doughnuts.

Hope Farm, Sunset Pointe, Wash house and Sage for dinners. Dragonfly and Tamara’s for lunch. I never go to Fairhope and not stop at Dragonfly. Even if it’s for just 1 duck taco.

Side note for Kim Jong and friends. Jesses in Fort Morgan should be open within the month. Talked to the Chef about oysters this weekend. He’s from Zachary. Beautiful building and view.

Camellia cafe

Closed for good but it was the best spot in town

With its departure, there’s a void in the upper end with the combination food/atmosphere downtown

Hope farm certainly has the atmosphere but food can be inconsistent.

Other suggestions

Red or white- closes early and no reservations
Provision for breakfast or lunch
Pearl oyster bar for…. Oysters
Wok by the bay is good Asian

Best place for dinner is Southwood Kitchen in Daphne
Another in Daphne is kitchen on main- very good quaint spot

Randomly found ourselves at Sean’s Prime recently and I’d recommend it. I think it’s relatively new but it’s right downtown.
