Are the Grilled Oysters in the downtown location at the Hilton just as good as the original location in Fat City? TYIA.

I don't find them quite as good for some reason. Still good though.
I thought I read something one time that they could flame the grill and put out as much smoke and all due to being in the hotel and ventilation requirements.

No.

I also find the Hilton location to be loud and uncomfortable.

Thanks to both answers. We are heading to NO in late September with a couple that has never been. It is one of my must stops. Fat City it is.

I can eat at the Hilton location for free and I still pass on invites...

Not worth it.

Take them to Cochon right after, also for oysters. Cochon does them better and it's not even close.

The only thing worth eating at Dragos is the oysters.

Just MHO, but I think they're fine downtown. Just for oysters though. I don't do Drago's for a meal. I do them just for ersters.

Had hem there then at Blind Pelican. B P was better and a third of the price. Maybe a forth of the price. I'm not a cheapo but Man 2 dozen and four beers was $100.

Thank you very much for the recommendation for The Blind Pelican. The happy hour looks amazing. We might have a change if plans.
