Drago's & Galatoire's serve Shreveport's First Responders

They came all the way up here to cook city workers and first responders a meal. Those are 2 restaurants I'll definitely try and visit next time I'm in N.O.

Dragos gets a lot of crap, some of it rightfully so, but they are a very charitable family. They gave away a shite ton of free meals after Katrina and are a very big supporter of many charity events and schools all around the area. They are always showing up with the fire truck to grill oysters at these events.

Tommy himself shows up to support some of the functions I attend. Three or four years ago he started showing up for the crescent city classic with the fire truck on Esplanade. They give away jaeger shots and beer to any of the runners who want it.

I have to go dine there a few times a year just to feel like I'm paying it back a little.

The title of this thread had me thinking that they were opening up shop in Shreveport.
