Do you go out of your way to purchase organic foods?

What is your opinion on organic foods in general? Worth the extra cost? Does it matter at all?

I pretty much only make groceries at Whole Foods and I don't have to go out my way to get there. I'm sure there are some organics in my buggy on any given trip.

Organic foods form the big box stores are generally going to be just marketing ploys.
With that said, I still shop at WF plenty, mostly just for convenience and the shopping experience is less chaotic as other stores. The produce is just generally in better condition than other stores.
I much prefer to buy local, rather than organic. I don't buy meat from WF. I don't understand people that pay premium prices at WF for meat, when you can get organic, local stuff for the same price.

Nope.
The only thing I buy organic is Horizon milk, and I'm sure it deliciousness has nothing to do with it being organic
Watch the Penn &a Teller bullshite episode on organic food, it's hysterical

No. I don't think eating organic is going to offset the copious amount of artificial sweeteners I consume, so I don't try.

I try to always by organic when I can. I'm not going to go to another store if one item isnt organic that I need... but I've been known to just do without that specific ingredient. Not everything I buy is organic though... mostly fruits and veggies, beans and grains
First city I lived in southern Oregon didn't allow anything that was GMO, so all restaurants and stores had to abide by that, lots of local and organic stuff. Makes shopping pretty damn easy
I think it's worth the extra cost, it's not THAT much more expensive. And I'm willing to pay the extra.
Taste a conventional banana and organic banana side by side, you will be able to taste the difference. I buy organic because a lot of the time it tastes better to me.

No. I have never purchased "premium" organic produce. I'm fine with the regular stuff at a fraction of the cost.

I use to, but not anymore. That said Whole Foods and Trader Joe's are the two goto's.

Sounds like communism to me.

I can certainly tell the difference with whole carrots. The non-organics that I bought from Kroger tasted like they were coated in chemicals. I never get that with the organics at kroger. This coming from a guy that will take the cheaper route most times.
I also buy organic milk because it lasts much longer and I never throw any out like I did with the regular stuff.
I'm fortunate enough to get farm fresh eggs, so i hardly ever buy them in store. They are of much higher quality than the cartons of white eggs.

+1 for organic carrots
Organic tomatoes and apples are also noticeably better
