They will probably make them in NOLA so they get extra stale on the way to BR.

Their chicken biscuit is good. Everything else is nothing special to me

The single most overhyped place in Nola. They don't serve donuts fwiw. They serve little small cakes in the shape of donuts with ridiculous toppings. Their sliders are pretty good but it's not a donut shop. It won't replace Mary Lee's or Southern Maid or any place like that.

In fairness, the only time I ever go there is when people visit from BR and want an Instagram picture.

District isn't trying to be like those places. Donuts are like pizza and burgers, there are different places targeting different crowds that want different things. District is past the novelty stage and there is still high demand, so they are doing something right. Living close to District, I do agree that I wish they'd make more types of donuts (cinnamon, chocolate, etc), but then again, I guess I should listen to my own advice and go someplace else for those.

So it's basically going to put Tiger Deaux-Nuts out of business?? That's fricked up.

A donut shop in no way will last in Town Center with that rent. They will have to shove a hell of a lot of product out the door to afford that. Not a great move in my opinion. That's not a donut shop shopping center.

I doubt it. That would suck if it happened, but I bet people remain loyal for the most part.

They do a little bit more than just donuts though. They have a niche' for sure. I just don't know if BR will support it. Magazine and Lakeview are perfect locations for what they do.

Damn, this board seems to really hate this place. I've only been twice when back in town, but the chicken biscuit and coconut cream donut were both very good.

I love District and I absolutely never get Donuts there. They aren't a donut shop. They have a couple of donuts and giant menu otherwise with a lot of good shite.

They always have some great sliders and other breakfast stuff that is delicious.

that's why you're not in charge of business development. Do you think they are blindly opening up a store there without any market research

They aren't a "donut shop". They just have it as one of the items listed in their name.

They have like 6-8 donuts at a given time and about 25 other things on the menu.
