QSR Magazine reports that Dat Dog will make a major expansion push in Houston, starting in 2018. The franchise group behind the expansion ambitiously hopes to open at least 25 location restaurants in Houston and its surrounding areas in the coming years, though no specific locations for any local outposts have been announced just yet.

I know Houston has a large Metro area, but 25 locations seems excessive.

I have pretty much switched to Sonic from James Coney Island. I love them and their hot dogs and hamburgers also. But they are awfully proud of their damn food. Hopefully, more competition will get them to have at least reasonable prices.

Obligatory post that New Orleans still doesn't have a Whataburger.

Obligatory response, we are good, don't need one.

Everyman deserves everything he works for but this makes me want to quit eating at the uptown dat dog. Just the fact that they announced 3 in BR like they were a Pei-Wei rubbed me the wrong way. There is already too many in New Orleans.

If Good Dog and Happy Fatz didn't cost $30 per person, I'd go more often. What's Dat Dog going to set me back?

About the same. 7ish bucks per dog...fries that are ludicrously overpriced.

Well crap. So much for my post above. This will make JCI seem like a bargain and they will probably raise prices.
