I don't mean how long around your house...becasue we all know the answer is generally not long. In general if bought fresh how long are they good for at room temp...week...cpl weeks? Could one re-heat in a oven to pep them up a bit when you go to eat?

After some looking its seeming they wouldn't last long enough for what im thinking. What about Pork skins...seems longer. Any bagged pork skin companies based in Louisiana? Like Goldenflake but made here.

Bought some at Chris's meat in Lakeview and froze them the next day. Later, I have warmed them up in the oven and not being fresh but very edible.

Obviously fried pork skins from the link and cracklins are not the same thing.

I store them in the fridge. I make “wet” cracklins out of the leftovers. Warm them up in the oven in a mixture of half butter and half hot sauce. I put them in at 300 degrees for about 5 minutes then cut the oven off and let them soak in the sauce. Damned tasty.

I know. I moved on from craklins becasue it doesnt seem like it would work for what I need. The pork skins seem like they might tho.

I am part owner of a gift basket company on the side that uses Louisiana products (CajunTreats.com). Looking for different ideas. Was thinking if cracklins lasted it might be nice in a divided tray with pecans of different styles. Or small individually bagged packs. They never last that long around me or friends so I wasnt sure how long they would keep.

That's what I was thinking. Hell, I barely make it home with a bag of hot ones unless I put it out of reach while I'm driving.
