Are you talking about Heiner Brau? If so, Whole Foods definitely has it, possibly Matherne's as well.

Heiner Brau is selling under the name of Covington Brewhouse now for some, if not all of their products.

It's the same brewhouse as heiner brau, but they are marketing it under a different name (all of the Heiner Brau beers are still under that name). I really liked the the pilsner when I had it a few weeks ago and would like to get it again. I would also like to try the bock.

Interesting...yeah I hadn't heard they were selling a line under a different name until you mentioned it. I'll have to try it for sure.

Also, I bet the Chimes or the Bulldog has it on draft if you can't find it in stores. Both of them carry Heiner Brau.

I've had the Heiner Brau Strawberry at The Chimes. While it was good, I found it to be overbearing. I prefer Abita's version a lot more.

The Bulldog only has Heiner Brau stawberry on tap. Same with the Chimes. I've had the strawberry from the chimes a few times and the bulldog twice. Once at the bulldog it tasted like strawberry quick (very very sweet and strawberry), the next time it tasted more like I expected it to (very similar to abita strawberry, but a little better). I had it at the Chimes a couple weeks ago and it was really good as well (not overbearing). I haven't seen any bars carry the Covington brand yet, but they just released it this year.

I actually don't believe that they have picked up a distributor in btr yet. So I don't thjnm it's possible to find the Covington Brehouse label stuff here in town.

I met the dist.(budwiser) for them at the strawberry fest...He talked me into trying the stawberry beer (only avail. in keg) and it was cleaner than the abita with a better finish...plus it was only a dollar...like you I am looking forward to trying more of these ales...they are really just getting started so things should start rolling soon.

I can't do their strawberry. I had it at Lagers and it was almost like an icee in a way. Too sweet for a beer.

From some of the post, it seems that their Strawberry is pretty inconsistent. I've had it about 6 times now, once it tasted like strawberry quick (very sweet and was very cloudy), the other times it was very similar to Abita with just a hint of strawberry and not sweet at all.

The time I had it there was no sweetness...less sweet than abita...are you sure you are talking about covington brewhouse and not Heiner Brau?
There is just no way a recipe can vary that much from real sweet to not sweet at all.

For the Strawberry, I'm talking about Heiner Brau. I got it once at the bulldog and it was extremely sweet and tasted nothing like it has any other time I've gotten.

Gotcha....the covington is good if you ever get the chance try it. I have given up on the blueberry beers....all have been too sweet.

Heiner Brau's label has long been picked up but the new Covington Brewhouse label has not yet. So you wont see that in btr until they get that fixed. Unless they got it fixed recently bc at the Zapp's beerfest they had not gotten it fixed yet.
