So this thread has reached the circle jerk part of its lifespan. Sad.

That's pretentious??? What do you think of root squared?

TH this may have been the best tasting dish of the night. Just sayin. Shrimp stock cooked with crab fat = heaven for whatever is in it

You get an email about a month out asking about dietary restrictions. They are very conscious of allergies and everything else.

doesnt look pretentious to me at all. Would destroy it all except that blue drink. I want all that dessert right now!!!!

Lester I thought the same thing with the blue drank, but it hit the spot at that point in time. I'm trying to remember what's in it so I can make it at home

It all looks great to me. Thanks for posting the pics.

Damn Urine! Not sure who's looked better. I'm a foie gras fan and that dinner looked killer. Guess you can't go wrong with either menu ?

Yea, I was surprised to see you post a set of completely different, but equally awesome looking dishes (except for the expected dessert overlap). I guess it all depends on which sous chef you get that night?
In the email inquiry they sent us beforehand, my sister commented that she really likes foie gras and that Commander's was the first place she tried it. So, I can thank her for its influence on the menu. The foie gras dish was great, but the port-foie gras butter on the tournedos was incredible.
