Who wants to play $3 a bottle for beer mixed with bitter orange juice? shite is gross. Hipsters just like it because it is rare.

I don't even like it, I just buy it to keep others from getting it.

At $3 a bottle, it is probably the best value in all of craft beer.

Ehh... In my non-maven opinion, at $10.49/6-pack, fresh Lagunitas Sucks gives it a damn good run for it's money.

But yeah, $12/4-pack for a world class DIAP is a hell of a deal.

Until it sits on shelves more than a day or two, I'm sure this thread will keep popping up.

Now is it the best DIPA out there, not at all.

What, IYO, is the best DIPA. Just curious your thoughts.

If both were local and available, I would take Heady Topper before Ghost almost every time.

Both are excellent Double IPAs, but Heady is canned, it's almost the same price, it holds up better, and the variance between batches is minimal.

BUT Heady isn't available in LA so I gladly support the guys at Parish and buy GiTM if/when I find it.

Switching to cans isn't going to happen, but it would be nice also.

yes
Ghost is a prime example of people buying up beer they know nothing about strictly based on word of mouth. Then they bitch when they don't like it. Yet somehow those of us that do like a well made world-class DIPA are the idiots?

Between threads like this one and the ones where grown men bitch and moan about the availability, or lacks hereof, and others spending the day chasing beer trucks... I love GOAT Season.

The thing is, most of the guys chasing the beer trucks to acquire these cases of Ghost aren't buying it to drink. They're buying it to trade. You can trade GitM for almost any beer in the country right now.

School me. What outlets can I use to trade if I had a couple extra?
