Based on your first list, that Alex Bradley is going to be right up your alley. Great sampler to start with. It's got a little of every thing. Make sure you more sitting down when you have that Man O War, Diesel, and CAO. They are all great cigars, just don't plan to smoke those while fishing or if you have anything to do later in the day.

Lol what's the deal with those, very strong?
Posted on 11/13/15 at 8:55 am to Doug_H
Strong may not be the correct term, but it works. They are full bodied for sure. They Man O War and CAO are 2 of my favorites, but for a guy who hasn't had something that full, find a day where you can chill and enjoy them.

My go to is the Rocky Patel line.
The 1990 and 1992 Vintage are good.
I'll add the 1999 as well

Also, OP may consider eating prior to smoking a full-strength stick. Doing so on an empty stomach may not be a good idea.

Eating and having some OJ to sip on.
I often smoke a cigar between ATL and Savannah since I make the trip so often to beat boredom.
I had a really full bodied cigar on one occasion and savor es it for many miles. After sitting that long I nearly fell over when I stepped out of the car.
Jones I agree with your RP rec

Just wanted to bump you guys and let you know some that I've tried since we last were on this thread, my sampler pack finally came in after about 3 weeks or so since it was on back order so I had to try others in the mean time.
5 Vegas Gold Double Nickel: was pretty smooth but was too mild, I'm finding that I am very quickly enjoying the full bodied cigars more than I thought and wanting a bit more bite out of the mild/medium ones
Don Jose, Nicaraguan: Not a bad cigar for $3
I'm really liking the Esteban Carrerras that I've had
Chupa Cabra and Covenant were both pretty darn good, especially the Chupa Cabra which was probably my favorite so far
Juan Lopez: was pretty good also
Perdomo Exhibicion: This one was smooth, but too mild
Pinar Del Rio 1878 Cubano Especial, Capa Maduro: very much enjoyed
Punch Bareknuckle: very good, second favorite so far behind only the Chupa Cabra
I look forward to trying the rest of my sampler pack, thanks guys again for the recommendations. Since I ordered from CI I they have sent me two monthly magazines and they are loaded with deals, and really opening my eyes to cigars that I'd never even heard of but now I cannot wait to finish my sampler pack and try some more. My current humidor holds 40 cigars or so, but I may have to upgrade if I keep going like this lol

I've never had a bad Rocky Patel. I recommend the vintage line....

Try out the Hoyo de Monterrey - Excalibur Line.
One thing I've noticed about samplers (particularly Ghurkha samples) is that they often burn or draw differently. I've sworn off Ghurkhas because I got several that burn fast and irregular (admittedly only from sample packs). There are too many more cigars that have never let me down to risk another Ghurkha.
Also ALWAYS buy online. I've used plenty of online retailers (you can even check for online coupons). My favorites are.......
Cigarinternational.com
famoussmokeshop.com
mikes'scigars.com
Avoid:
cigars.com .... too expensive
Thompsoncigars.com ..... sell a lot of machine rolled junk cigars

Thanks for bumping. I had forgotten about this thread. I reread the whole thread.
Glad you liked this one. Just FYI. I think that the Bareknuckle is my least favorite in the Punch line. Try their original

Once I wear down some of this sampler pack I do plan on trying out more of the Punch line, also from reading through the magazine and different reviews I can't wait to try some of the Man O'Wars

Damn, how did I not see this thread until just now?
I'm going to be smoking something from Crowned Heads tonight, I think. Going to Stogies in Houston next week to stock up on lanceros.
