I had Jim 'N Nick's BBQ a few weeks ago and thought it was amazing.

May have been a fluke. IDK.

Amazing? Really?

My parents drug me to a Jim N Nick's in Prattville, AL once. It was gag-inducing. Similar to VooDoo BBQ.

and like has been said.. their meat is all turkey-based. that means .. yep, that ham you're ordering is not ham at all. fricking disgusting. not to mention how much sodium is in their "meat."

All of the sandwich chains are bad about the sodium. I've had to pretty much cut them out. Doc says I gotta watch the old blood pressure, don't want to croak before 40.

I think I'm going to go to Subway today.

Chicken Bacon Ranch, footlong, extra cheese, oil & vinegar, but some spinach leaves to keep it healthy.

Pretty much all prepared food is loaded in sodium (especially this being a thread about chains). Your deli meat at the grocery has a ton of it too. My blood pressure is just fine and I drink a shitload of water and exercise. I'm good with a little sodium

Chile's, Outback, Cracker Barrel, Subway, Five Guys, Dairy Queen, Copeland's.
Disclaimer: I generally only eat at these when I'm travelling (except for Subway and Copeland's)

I see you still haven't addressed the fact that they're essentially selling fake ham.

A cold turkey sandwich with a slice a cheddar on a hot day is pretty clutch. But I need to work on cutting it out even at home. Need to scour some recipes, getting kind of bored with what I've going on food-wise at home.

A good homemade BLT can easily replace that sandwich. Thick-cut bacon, a nice big slice of tomato, crispy lettuce, mayo, toast, profit.

While I don't think any restaurant can serve amazing BBQ considering the time comstraints the Jim n nicks in cumming is pretty good and I am a stickler about BBQ.
