A couple of brothers looking to create a modern cast iron skillet that performs like a vintage pan. Look like the real deal or not buying it?

Meh, it's still uncoated CI. I'm lazy, I want mine enameled. Enameled works every bit as well as uncoated, without the maintenance hassle. Hell, I put my enameled CI in the dishwasher from time to time.

Not much of a discount for backers. I'll consider a purchase when they start rolling production.

And I like it, but I don't know if I like it for $100. My Lodge works just fine and I'm okay if it's a little "heavy".

Honestly, I don't care about the weight, but I do find the texture of my Lodge rather annoying. If I made this purchase, it would be solely to have a smooth surface.

1, probably can't have too many good cast iron pans. They are dope

2. I am intrigued by the smoothness.

I am interested but not sure I will pay $100 for a pan. My others do the job so I would be spending all that money for a pan that may or may not do a noticeably better job. And I am certainly not spending $100 to wait until January 2017 and I have a feeling that date will only get pushed way back, don't know if they counted on so many pledges.
